The Portsmouth Girlguides Campsite

Sandy Acres Campsite, owned by the three Portsmouth Girlguides Divisions,
is a Guide Campsite in Hampshire and located near Wickham SO32 2LR.
It once was a sand pit, hence the name and the light sandy soil.

Indoor facilities: (Suitable for Brownie Pack Holidays and Guide Residentials and accommodating 32 people max.)
Large hall area for activities and dining, chairs and tables provided.
Fully fitted and equipped kitchen with microwave, industrial size oven, fridge/freezer.
Showers and toilets for people using the building including disabled support and men's showers and toilets.
3 Dormitories, each sleeping 8 people on four bunk beds, and 2 en-suite Leaders' rooms, each sleeping 4 people on single beds.

Campers' facilities: (Three main camping areas, )
2 have wooden shelters with altar fires on all 3 sites. The central camp fire circle and side wood pile at the side, is for the use of everyone on site.
Campers' showers and toilets are available in Badgers Lodge, accessible from the fields.
Should the weather become wet,there will be rain on RainBows
With the location and the wonderful sunshine on site, we get lots of Brownies
Additional shower and toilet blocks are within Badgers Lodge, to support camping Guides

Booking facilities:
“During the period 1st September to 31st December we will give priority to bookings from Guiding units for the next year. From 1st January we will accept bookings from all groups including non-Guiding.”

“Sandy Acres welcomes evening bookings of the field and/or Badgers Lodge from all units across Portsmouth and SE Hants for girl-led activities. Field users can have access to the campers’ toilet block.” PLEASE BOOK
